The Technology 4 Life Institute is an educational services company that delivers and distributes cutting edge educational technology (EdTech) solutions 4 life in the global economy.

Our History

In 2005, the Technology 4 Life Institute (e.g. Technology for Life) was founded by Shetay Ashford as a technology literacy program of Youth Mentoring Technologies, Inc.  Its initial mission was to bridge the digital divide for at-risk youth in the Tampa Bay area.  We offered the T4L program in conjunction with a GEAR UP program for high school students in Tampa, Florida.  In 2010, we launched the Technology 4-LIFE Career Readiness Institute (T4L) in Austin, Texas to empower youth and adults with career and technology skills.  Specifically, we offered the T4L program as a community-based summer camp and afterschool program in the Austin Independent School District.

Our Philosophy

Today, we have expanded our portfolio of programs to meet the needs of our customers further.  While we recognize the critical need to equip the next generation to thrive in the 21st-century technology, we recognize a greater need to improve the quality of out-of-school programming and to empower families.  Our team of curriculum developers and instructors, with master’s and doctoral degrees in curriculum and instruction, incorporate research and evidence-based practices in our curriculum.  Moreover, our culturally relevant curriculum is fun and creative to engage our learners.  To ensure quality, our team of evaluators perform formative and summative evaluations of each program.

Mission Statement

We empower youth and adults to thrive in the 21st century!
